1. Find a window
2. Look outside
That’s the only reliable ‘weather app’ you’ll get around here. Though it’s only reliable for about 5-10 minutes.
meteoblue
meteoblue is a well-known weather service that’s incredibly helpful. The platform provides easy-to-understand weather forecasts, climate information, and handy tools.
I use this meteoblue mostly. I like the satellite images and of course that it is professional. When you scroll down, there is a satellite image/movie. Lots of clouds might mean rain.
By using advanced technology and weather stations, it gives you accurate, location-specific predictions, so you can plan your beach days, outdoor activities, or hikes with confidence, taking into account the island’s ever-changing weather.
Website meteoblue
For temperature, I found the meteoblue model to be very good. For wind, nobody seems to have a clue.
Aemet
Aemet, Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, plays a pivotal role in keeping residents and visitors to Gran Canaria well-informed about the island’s weather conditions.
With a reputation for reliability and accuracy, Aemet provides comprehensive weather forecasts, real-time updates, and valuable climate data that are essential for planning outdoor activities, beach trips, and other experiences.
Website Aemet
Aemet is the most reliable in my opinion. But as said, the weather is notoriously unpredictable, so even they can get it wrong.
El Tiempo
El Tiempo, a widely respected weather website, offers valuable insights into the weather conditions on Gran Canaria. Known for its user-friendly interface and reliable information, El Tiempo provides detailed weather forecasts, up-to-the-minute updates, and pertinent climate data.
El Tiempo is the most reliable I have found till today.
Weather & Radar
Weather & Radar, a widely-used weather forecasting app and website, is a valuable resource for checking the weather. This versatile platform offers up-to-the-minute weather data, detailed forecasts, and radar imagery, allowing users to stay well-informed about the ever-changing weather conditions.
With its user-friendly interface and accurate information, it’s a reliable companion for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience in this captivating destination.
Website Weather & Radar
With a bit of experience, cloud radar and cloud forecasts can give you an idea about clouds and rain showers in the next 4–8 hours. Which is good if you want to go hiking or go for a bike ride. I use the Android app from Weather & Radar.
MSN Weather
MSN Weather is a widely recognized weather forecasting website and app that proves incredibly useful for those in Gran Canaria. With a user-friendly interface and comprehensive features, it offers real-time weather updates, forecasts, and other essential weather information. Please note that the availability and features of MSN Weather may change over time, so it’s advisable to check the most recent updates and offerings for the most accurate and current weather information.
Website MSN Weather
I found that MSN Weather is actually pretty accurate.
