Where to Go Out at Night in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

If you’re trying to figure out what nightlife in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is really like, here’s the honest version: it doesn’t follow a fixed script.

This isn’t a city of mega clubs and copy-paste party streets. Nights here tend to evolve. You start somewhere calm, drift into something louder, and sometimes end up in a place you hadn’t planned at all. The same venue can feel completely different depending on the day of the week, the DJ, the season, or simply who decided to go out that night.

Because of that, this guide focuses on vibe and audience, not rigid rules. Opening hours change, special events come and go, and checking every update across dozens of venues simply isn’t realistic. If you’re looking for the exact location or the most up-to-date opening times, your best bet is to type the venue name into Google Maps, which is usually more accurate than any static article.

The places below are all real, current nightlife venues in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The crowd descriptions reflect how these spots usually feel, but keep in mind that nightlife is a moving target. One night it’s locals in their 30s, the next it’s students, birthday groups, or friends visiting from out of town. That unpredictability is part of the city’s charm.

Use this list as a guide, not a guarantee, and let the night do the rest.

💃 Clubs in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

These are places where dancing is the main reason you go. People usually arrive late and stay later.

MoMa Club

MoMa attracts a mixed crowd, mostly between 25 and 40. Locals and internationals blend easily here. The vibe is polished but not intimidating, and people tend to come with the intention of actually dancing rather than just hovering near the bar.

The Room

A younger, trend-driven crowd, often early 20s to early 30s. Expect a busy dancefloor, fashion-forward outfits, and a strong “see and be seen” energy. It can feel intense in the best or worst way, depending on your mood.

Chester

A long-standing reference point in the city. The crowd is broad, usually late 20s to 40s, with plenty of regulars. It’s social, familiar, and less about hype than consistency.

Alboroto

High-energy nights and a young crowd, often students and early professionals. People come here ready to move. It’s loud, busy, and very social from start to finish.

Luxclub

A stylish crowd in their 20s and 30s, often a bit more dressed up. Luxclub appeals to people looking for a club night that feels curated without being overwhelming.

Little Havana VIP

A loyal crowd, often late 30s and up. Many people know each other, or at least feel like they do after ten minutes. It’s dance-focused, friendly, and very much about staying out late.

Disco La Divina

A mixed-age audience, usually 30s to 50s. Less trend-chasing, more about enjoying music and dancing without pressure. It attracts people who know exactly why they’re there.

Disco Euphoria

Very diverse crowd and very straightforward. People who just want a classic disco night, no fuss, no posing. Casual and accessible.

Mr Vaho Club

Mostly late 20s to early 30s. Often part of a club-hopping night rather than the only destination. Appeals to people who already know the city’s nightlife rhythm.

🍸 Late-Night Bars That Feel Like Nights Out

These places sit between bars and clubs. Music is important, dancing can happen, but conversation still survives.

Motown

A true social mixer. Locals and internationals, roughly 25 to 45, music lovers, and people who are very open to chatting with strangers. One of those places where nights accidentally get long.

Imaginario

Creative and alternative. Artists, musicians, and people who value atmosphere over polish. It attracts a loyal local crowd and feels more intimate than flashy.

Talleres Palermo

Mostly locals, late 20s to 40s. Relaxed, busy, and very social. A place where groups merge, conversations stretch, and nobody’s rushing you onto a dancefloor.

Mizu Club

Stylish and international, often 25 to 40. Cocktail-focused, design-aware, and calmer than a full club night. Ideal if you like music with space to breathe.

Monkey Garage

Younger and alternative. Casual, music-driven, and a little underground in spirit. Appeals to people who prefer personality over polish.

🍺 Bars That Are Part of the Nightlife Ecosystem

Not clubs, but absolutely part of how nights in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria unfold.

Bar San Remo

Very local, wide age range. A place for drinks, conversation, and atmosphere. Often an early or mid-evening stop rather than the final destination.

Paddy’s Anchor

A mix of locals, expats, and visitors. Friendly, social, and relaxed. Some nights are quiet, others unexpectedly lively. You never quite know which version you’ll get.

El Tendedero de Catalina

Mostly locals of all ages. Traditional bar energy with a lively edge. Common for pre-drinks or nights that stay simpler but still social.

Volga

Alternative and artsy. Regulars, conversations, and a slightly bohemian feel. Less about partying hard, more about staying out because you’re enjoying yourself.

🎤 Karaoke and Alternative Nights

Because not all nightlife is about dancing well.

Reina De La Noche

Groups of friends, birthdays, spontaneous plans, and zero shame. People come to sing, laugh, and embrace chaos. It’s loud, fun, and never takes itself seriously.

🌙 What This All Means in Practice

Nightlife in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria isn’t about mega clubs or rigid scenes. It’s about flow. Starting somewhere calm, drifting somewhere louder, ending somewhere unexpected.

Go with an open mind, don’t lock yourself into one plan, and remember that the crowd you meet tonight might be completely different next weekend. That’s not a bug. That’s the charm.

A least half of the appeal of Las Palmas for remote workers and digital nomads is rooted in this community. It’s the best I’ve seen so far in terms of how well it is organised, structured and nurtured. It offers excellent opportunities to meet new people and explore the island.
