The History Of Live it up, Las Palmas!
The Live it up, Las Palmas! Slack community was founded in 2020, two years after I started organizing events for the international community, back in 2018. We simply needed a communication tool during the pandemic, for everyone in the community to stay connected and easily meet up. If you want to know the history of this community, check this article!
The majority of the community lives in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, but there are also more and more community members exploring other regions of the island. For that reason, there’s a special section in the group for everyone living in the south. This includes cities and towns like Maspalomas, Puerto Rico, Arguineguin and Puerto de Mogan. On the other hand, there’s also a channel for people living in the north, like Agaete, Arucas and Teror.
Biggest And Most Active International Community in Gran Canaria
This Slack community is still growing fast and is incredibly active! The group is actively monitored and all questions are answered as soon as possible by community members and the admin, me. We are 10.000+ members, with hundreds of active daily members and reaching over 1.500 daily active members in high season.
The group is split up into different subgroups, like hiking, yoga, meetups, language exchanges, sports and more. This way it’s easy to find what you are looking for and we keep the group organized.
Read our Community Rules Before Joining
