What’s the best place for windsurfing in Gran Canaria?
To windsurf place are Pozo Izquierdo. You can rent equipment there and also take classes. For beginners the beach Bahia de Formas is the best place to be since there’s no waves there. Check out the company LPWindsurf and Pozo Wind for clases and rental.
BahÃa de Formas is the place for beginners. There is guy that rents the equipment just there.
Pozo Izquierdo is the best place for windsurfing in Gran Canaria. I believe there are several stores/schools/rental places as this is the go-to place. Here’s one, for ecample to rent equipment: https://www.pozowinds.com/windsurf-gran-canaria-equipment
Pozo Izquierdo is definitely not for beginners! They can take you to a nearby lagoon (can’t remember the name) but the actual spot in Pozo is rocky wavy and overall only for advanced!
BahÃa de Formas is best for beginners and intermediates to practice windsurfing in Gran Canaria.
I recommend Pozo Izquierdo, it’s where they hold the international competitions. You can hire windsurfing material there as well. You should go to Bahia de Formas, which is right next to Pozo Izquierdo, and ask for classes there at the beach.
