Recommendations for a daytrip in Agaete?
If you’re looking to start hiking from Agaete, heading west towards Guayedra has plenty of good options – more uphill, or heading for the beach. Similarly, along the coast towards Sardina is another option without driving to the starting point. With a car, you could start a hike from El Sao or Risco for more options.
I love the Parque Arqueológico Maipés de Agaete, the native burial grounds. The coffee plantation Cafe Platinium offers a one hour tour and coffee tasting thats very interesting.
Highly recommend hiking from Agaete to Tamadaba. Also Charco Azul is near by. Driving the GC-200 is an adventure on its own.

Swimming? Lots of space and distance at the old pier, more protected in the Agaete Piscina Natural! Hiking? Plenty of options, e.g. southwest in Guayedra, southeast in Valle de Agaete
Food? Fresh sea food near the beach, best breakfast at Hondo!
