Day Trips and Road Trips Gran Canaria
The north of Gran Canaria is home to some of the island’s most beautiful and popular destinations. One of the top attractions in the north is the picturesque town of Agaete, which is known for its charming streets and colonial-style houses. Here, visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the town, visit the many art galleries and studios, or relax at one of the many cafes and restaurants.
The drive up to Roque Nublo is amazing and then drive down going north. The roads are not for the faint hearted, though.
Maybe a trip in the north? You can stop along the shore, at Los Charcones (natural pools). Make a stop in Galdár for the Cueva Pintada and the viewpoint there. Then either go to Sardina del Norte or to Agaete? You can also make a trip down to Moya, or simply go to the botanical garden (Jardín Botánico Canario Viera y Clavijo) in Las Palmas. The garden should be amazing now after all the heavy rain.
Lunch in one of the cave restaurants in Guayadeque (like Bar-Restaurante Tagoror) or lunch at Restaurante Mirador Santa Lucía.
