Sometimes, people get confused and think the hill in Galdar is El Teide, which is the tallest peak in Spain. So, here’s a simple tip: if you only see one mountain, that’s Galdar. But if you see two, the one on the right is El Teide. This is when you’re trying to spot Tenerife from Playa de Las Canteras.
The better the weather, the more of Tenerife you can see. Keep in mind, Tenerife is just about 70 kilometers away from Gran Canaria.
