Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is particularly beneficial for chronic pain and tension in the muscles and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). The therapist uses slow, deep strokes and intense pressure to reach the deeper layers of muscle and fascia. This type of massage can be quite intense and is not recommended for those with sensitive skin or a low pain tolerance. However, for those who can handle it, deep tissue massage can provide significant relief from chronic pain and tension in the muscles, as well as improve flexibility and range of motion. Additionally, it can also help with postural alignment, and improve recovery from injuries.

Good massage place for deep tissue massage?
I went with Sonsoles Sebastián (near La Cicer) who was recommended earlier and she was great. Highly recommend and she speaks English.
Centro de Quiromasaje, I’ve used Inma for years. Speaks great English, highly recommended. Victor is also really good but usually less available.
Rafael Strobosch is your man!* If you search for deep tissue in Slack a few older recommendations will pop up too, like Vidal and Centro de Quiromasaje.
