Exploring the north of Gran Canaria

Today in Ask LIU! we share the answers to the question; what can we explore in the north of Gran Canaria? Which cities are a must, which highlights do we need to visit?

Any recommendations for places to explore in the north of Gran Canaria?

I recommend to visit Gáldar, Arucas, Moya, Agaete, Teror (in random order and I’m sure I forgot some other nice places to explore in the north of the island).

The hikes starting in Agaete are spectacular. The most popular one is the “San Pedro circle”, with good reason. If you’re a bit more ambitious and can take 2-3000 meters’ climb in a day, Agaete to Artenara and beyond (Cruz de Tejeda, Tejeda) is glorious.

  • A least half of the appeal of Las Palmas for remote workers and digital nomads is rooted in this community. It’s the best I’ve seen so far in terms of how well it is organised, structured and nurtured. It offers excellent opportunities to meet new people and explore the island.

    Amazing community, I had never seen such a well organized and resourceful space in any other country where I lived before, excellent go-to platform when first arriving in the island, either for short term stay or longer term plans. Thanks Nelly for offering such an incredible space 🙂
