Fiestas del Pilar 2025 (September 30 – October 12) in Guanarteme, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
The neighbourhood of Guanarteme is about to burst into colour, music and tradition with the return of the Fiestas del Pilar 2025. From September 30 to October 12, Plaza del Pilar and the surrounding streets will be packed with concerts, galas, parades, children’s activities, and of course, the famous fuegos artificiales (fireworks) over Las Canteras.
Recognised as an official Fiesta de la Ciudad, these celebrations are one of the most loved in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, bringing together neighbours, families and visitors for almost two weeks of non-stop events.
This year’s programme mixes tradition with plenty of modern touches: the return of the Encuentro de Papagüevos, the Festival Folclórico de las Comunidades, a Mexican music contest, the Drag Queen Gala, and a closing concert by Cuban star Lucrecia.

- Tuesday, September 30: Audiovisual event “La Cícer: zona surfera calidad mundial”.
