What’s the best place to go snorkeling in Gran Canaria?
Besides Cabrรณn, that is more for diving than snorkel, I can recommend you also in Arinaga, the beach of Risco Verde and Muelle Viejo!
Tufia is a great spot for snorkeling and freediving.
You can do snorkel at Playa Chica (Las Canteras, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) when there is low tide.
Playa Chica, the small beach in front of Ale Hop (Las Canteras, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria).
Puerto de Mogรกn, Playa de Tufia and Playa de Amadores are good places for snorkeling.
Playa de Tufia is a great place, you could see lots of life underwater.ย There are lots of scuba divers as well. It is a small fisherman village with almost always calm bay.
Go to snorkel to Punta Cabo Verde (in the north, near Moya) or Playa del Cabrรณn (near Arinage). I really like Playa de Tufia too.
When you snorkel at Playa Chica, you realize that you are basically surrounded by fish all the time.ย There is also the occasional sea cucumbers and sea urchins and in my year that I’ve been here I managed also to see a small ray once. To be more precies: Playa Chica is the small beach in front of/along Telepizza – MoMa Club – LlaoLlao Frozen Yoghurts – Taberna Chica.
Playa del Cabrรณn is one of the best spots for snorkeling or diving.
