A Week in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as a Digital Nomad or Remote Worker: Where to Work, Eat & Socialise
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is hands down one of the best places in Europe for digital nomads. Sunshine year-round, fast Wi-Fi, affordable living, and a strong international communityโwhatโs not to love? But if itโs your first time here, you might feel a little lost.
Donโt worry, Iโve got you covered. Hereโs a one-week guide to settling in, getting productive, and making the most of your time in this amazing city.
Monday: Find Your Flow
Itโs your first day, and you need to get into work mode. Skip the distractions and head to Un Lugar, the only 100% laptop-friendly cafรฉ in the city. Need more options? Luwak is another great spot with good coffee and a welcoming vibe.

After a productive day, itโs time to unwind. How about sunset yoga with Sasha? Itโs the perfect way to relax after staring at your screen all day (check Slack for details). Then grab dinner at Nรกkar or Napoli Miaโtwo of my favourites with amazing food.

Tuesday: Socialise & Connect
Start your day with breakfast at La Picnicteria or Organic Jungle before diving into work. If youโre serious about staying long-term, why not sign up for Spanish classes? ZunSรบn Academy offers in-person lessons, or you can study online with Corrivia for private tutoring.

By the evening, itโs time to meet people! Every Tuesday at 8 PM, our community gathers at Bar San Remo for a casual meetup. Whether youโre new or already settled, itโs a great way to connect over drinks. You’ll meet other digital nomads, but also immigrants, locals, remote workers and the occasional tourist!
Ps. if you’re here in the Summer of 2025, we’re actually taking a short break from our community meetup! But fear not, there’s still a bunch of regulars going to the bar every week, between 8pm and 10pm.

Wednesday: Mid-Week Recharge
By now, youโre in the groove. Need a fresh workspace? Try the popular Sky Coworking or switch it up at White Forest for a more focused workday. For lunch, head to Llรฉvame Al Huertoโthey also have excellent vegetarian options.

If you want to treat yourself, grab a sweet or savoury treat from Bakery de Stefanoโtheir cookies and (flat) croissants are legendary.

In the evening, head to Paddyโs Anchor, an Irish pub where you can also catch live sports.
Thursday: Another Great Night to Meet People
Set up your laptop at Luwak for breakfast and a relaxed work session. For lunch, try Tasca Galileo, a great spot for local flavours and just a few minutes away from Luwak.

The real fun starts in the evening. Head to Somos Costeros at 7 PM for the Thursday meetupโanother great weekly event to meet new people in a relaxed setting. Afterward, grab dinner at Pachichi or La Quilla, two must-try local restaurants in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Friday: Live Music & Weekend Vibes
Friday means youโve earned a break! Treat yourself to a long breakfast at Mar Gastrotasca, then work from Emetรฉ Coworking to finish the week strong.

When the sun sets, get ready for live music at Imaginarioโone of the best spots in town for great vibes and performances. They have live music every Friday and Saturday, making it a top place to kickstart your weekend.

Saturday: Adventure Time!
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria isnโt just about workโyouโre on a paradise island, so make the most of it! Start your Saturday with a surf lesson. If surfing isnโt your thing, there are hiking trips every Saturday and Sundayโan amazing way to explore Gran Canariaโs stunning landscapes. Make sure to heck our #hiking channel in Slack for more information.

After an active day, grab dinner at Kop Kun for delicious Thai food. Then, if youโre up for it, enjoy another round of live music at Imaginario.
Sunday: Relax & Recharge
Sunday is for chilling, but nothing beats the Beach & Volleyball Meetup at 5 PM. Even if you donโt play, itโs a great way to meet people in a casual setting.

Want to make your stay in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria longer? Nowโs a good time to start looking for accommodation. Check out Las Palmas Nomadic Living (private apartments/studios), RePeople, Coliving 1907, Macaw25, or EcoIsleta for different styles of living.

Final Tip: Join Slack Before You Arrive!
If youโre coming to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as a digital nomad, join the Slack community before you arrive. You can ask any questions, get recommendations, and connect with people instantlyโno question is too much!
Thatโs itโyour one-week roadmap to getting settled in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Work hard, meet amazing people, and enjoy everything this city has to offer. Who knows? You might never want to leave!
