Spanish Flavours in Maspalomas:Restaurant Lo Nuestro
I recently had the pleasure of trying out Lo Nuestro, a new restaurant in Maspalomas. Located in a more quiet part of town, Lo Nuestro offers a blend of traditional Spanish flavors with a modern twist.
Starters: Delicious Beginnings
We started with Croquetas de gambón (prawn croquettes) and boletus mushrooms with truffle aroma, along with cecina (cured beef) croquettes.
The Alcachofas confitadas con ibéricos (confit artichokes with Iberian ham) were also delicious, combining tender artichokes with flavourful ham.
Mains; Tender Meats
For the main course, we enjoyed Secreto confitado a baja temperatura a la parrilla (low-temperature confit pork shoulder) with tropical pineapple compote and rustic potatoes.
The Presa de ternera a la parrilla (grilled beef shoulder) with potatoes and asparagus was also delicious, prepared perfectly and so tender!
Desserts
Dessert was a treat with Coulant de chocolate (chocolate fondant) served with ice cream, and a unique Tarta de queso azul (blue cheese cake). It was my first cheesecake with blue cheese, and I was afraid it would be too strong. But no, it was perfectly balanced and really good.
