We gather every Wednesday at MAZU in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for an evening of food and socializing. Whether you’re new to the area or a longtime resident, our meetup is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and make new friends. In this FAQ, we’ll answer some common questions about the event to help you get the most out of your experience.
What is “Funky Tacos” at Mazu Street
Funky Tacos is the name of our weekly social event that takes place every Wednesday from 7PM till midnight at MAZU. Restaurant MAZU is located at Calle Joaquín Costa 24 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It’s a casual meetup with delicious Mexican food (including vegan options), wines, cocktails and more.
What can I expect at Mazu Street?
Our weekly gathering every Wednesday, Funky Tacos, is a social event, where you can enjoy delicious Mexican food, as well as other options such as hamburgers, tostadas, and ceviche. Vegan options are available too.
Is the event indoors or outdoors?
We start the event outdoors, with a limitation of 16 chairs. Once these seats are filled up, we take the tables inside the venue too.
Is there an entrance fee?
No, there is no entrance fee to join, and no RSVP is required. It’s recommended to come early in the evening to secure a spot. It is not mandatory to eat, but highly recommended because the food is delicious and it’s always good to support local businesses!
Who is the target audience for Funky Tacos?
The event is targeted towards members of Live it up, Las Palmas!, and everyone who wants to connect with this community. The event is open to anyone who wants to join and enjoy the food, music, and company.
Are there any age restrictions for attending the event?
No, there are no age restrictions for joining us at MAZU. The restaurant is kid-friendly, so feel free to bring your little ones.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, you can. MAZU is pet-friendly.
